Chapter 488 Cultivation Arc Rewrite

Chapter 488 Cultivation Arc Rewrite

Warm greetings to all my readers, the following chapter is a template of the rewrite that I have in mind. For the most part, I have had a mixed response about rewriting the Novel but mostly people opted for a rewrite especially with a magus twist, something which I am personally excited about as well.

The English names would be kept because most people are unbothered by it and tbh it's easier to keep up, it doesn't affect the story at all.

The story would resume from when Leylin broke his soul into three fragments and sent one of them away from his Astral space into another universe.

Leylin clone has landed into a world called Grace Mainland, which is the starting point of God Of Slaughter novel. The protagonist is named originally Shi Yan ( Berkan Lenoir), the real Berkan with vast wisdom of ancient knowledge and lacking Martial aptitude died in a mysterious cave, being replaced by a transmigrated Berkan from Earth but unfortunately for the MC, he was instead pitted against the truesoul fragment of Leylin and had only brutal demise in his fate.

As Leylin truesoul took over the body as well as the memories of two Berkan, he assumed their identity as well, but his true self always remained a seeker of truth, explorer of adventures, scientists of nature and an exalted Magus who will either illuminate or devastate the new world before him.

In this new journey through a new world with its unique power system, will the Magus prevail? With the A. I. Chip and his enormous amass of knowledge ranging from various disciples, can Leylin adapt, invent and thrive?

I hope you can enjoy it as much as I would. I sincerely apologize to all the readers who aren't thrilled about the rewrite and feel that it's a waste of their time but I hope you can give this a run too.

Your sincerely,

KEETARP

p. S — Unlike the first writing, I am not sure if Leylin should have a recollection of the novel God Of Slaughter. The whole premise of him knowing the world doesn't elevate the quality of story instead it damages it that's why I am confused. For those who don't know, Leylin has mentioned Shi Yan and GOS in WOMW, specifically in the early chapters when his sentient force was revealed. I would like to ask the readers if such development annoys them or makes no difference? For this chapter I have decided to omit such development, but of course the premise can change according to readers review.

I try my best to link and connect the past to the present but the huge time difference in my writing as well as the writing style in different phases and my idea for future plans limit such strictness for following logic. I hope readers could forgive such development and enjoy the show.

Chapter 1 "New World Order"

In an unknown world, in an undisclosed corner of an unknown universe.

"Where… is this?" Leylin muddled truesoul, which faintly regained it's consciousness, sized up the surroundings, stunned.

Leylin's new occupied body woke up with a start. His head was throbbing in pain, as if it was filled with lead and it felt extremely heavy.

Once the pain faded slightly, Leylin found himself in a dimly lit stone cave which was the size of a basketball court. Piles of bones were scattered all over the place, and a dozen corpses covered in strange clothes lay beside him.

"..." Leylin didn't waste his time forming any speculation about his whereabouts. Instead he was slowly arranging the information in his head, and as well as his experience during the travel inside the mysterious blue-hole.

"A. I. Chip..."

[Beep! Restarting the host assistance program! Reincarnation Protocol #002 established! The detected assessment is failed reincarnation and a successful transmigration. Checking host soul and body for rejection and longevity... Beep! Host truesoul has experienced severe stress but has no lasting injuries! The soul signature is normal, no damage data recorded. Beep! Assessing Host body!....The host body is weak and in a hungry state but has no vital degradation! Body classified as D-grade! Defragmenting Astral Travel data... Data saved! Ready to be retrieved by the host. Beep! A new set of memory fragments detected, waiting for the host to set action.]

A continuous string of 3-D blue holograms flashed through Leylin's eyes, he powerlessly laid collapsed on the ice-cold rock ground, and carefully read the data.

'Transmigration into a body?' Just then, Leylin noticed this body, his new body which was that of the other person who was about 17-18 years old.

"As I thought, something went wrong during the spell. The Astral Sentient Reincarnation spell should have ideally reborn me as a child after being thoroughly scanned by the World Will, but I am a teenager. Is there no World Will? or is it muddled like Purgatory or perhaps it's the work of the strange blue hole?" Leylin muttered.

'That works in my favour, that means I didn't have to use the Trump card saved by the main body.' Leylin muttered a bit relived about the lastest development.

"An adult body huh? It's not a bad deal but I have to make sure there are no lasting troubles. The body quality is fairly low but that's only physical quantification. The aptitude of magic has to be tested personally by me and I can only do that when I start practicing magic since only experimental data can give an accurate estimation.' Leylin pondered while closing his eyes.

According to the rough estimation by A. I. Chip this body has a D-grade level, that falls under the Astral Race derived body ranking system, which is a distinctive characterization used to denote many physical, magical and potential parameters, but as a Magus Leylin is mostly concerned about Magus talent.

'A D-grade body would have a third to fourth grade aptitude... Well it doesn't really matter, once I can tab into the real ability of my powers I can elevate the quality of the body like I did with the main body once. For now... ' Leylin thought to himself once again, while pushing his body to sit upright on the cold stone, thinking out aloud in his mind: "A.I. Chip! Scan the entirety of the body's memory and arrange it!"

[Beep! Task Established! Starting arrangement!]

Now, as Leylin gave the command, memories of a stranger's entire life, from birth to him choosing a scholarly lifestyle and going on this journey, were all displayed in front of Leylin's eyes with the A.I. Chip's assistance.

This was the memory of another person...

That of a strange boy who was 17 years old. He was attracted to antiques and was obsessed with all kinds of historical remains; because of an ancient map, he strived for half a year and eventually got here with his guards.

But along with that, there was also another set of memories.

A 27 years old man from Earth, who was an insane fanatic of extreme sports. His mother died early, while his father died of cancer in the prime of his life. But, he had saved a fortune working his whole life. This left him with such a large amount of wealth which he could never use in a lifetime. He died while participating in an extreme sport, somehow ended up in this world and had his soul devoured by Leylin.

A large mass of memory from two individuals was just too confusing, and was also full of useless information.

But with the help of the A.I. Chip, all information was arranged and sorted accordingly while removing useless data.

[Data sorting has been completed!] The A.I. Chip notification sounded out.

"Create a new file, named 'Berkan Lenoir', and save it!" Leylin gave a new order. He reviewed the data from the guy from Earth as well but there was nothing worthy of his attention so he just left it out. Life of an ordinary person from earth has no importance to an exalted being like Magus. Although his travel and transmigration to this world is fascinating but he wouldn't know anything about it.

'Although it is worth pondering what made this fellow so special to be transmigrated but that question would serve little purpose to my current predicament.' Leylin muttered to himself, and issued another command

"A.I. Chip scan my entire body, and display my body's stats!"

After a mere moment, the A.I. Chip's mechanical voice replied back.

[Beep! Scan complete!] [ Berkan Lenoir (Leylin Farlier). Strength: 0.6, Agility: 0.6, Vitality: 0.9, Status: Weakened due to hunger and thirst.]

A 3D hologram appeared before Leylin's eyes. It displayed Leylin's own body and showed stats on the side.

'The body condition is passable, the vitality is equal to an adult man which isn't that surprising considering his status as young master of a Martial family.' Leylin glanced at his new body state and immediately started to review the information gathered by the A. I. Chip.

According to the guy named Berkan Lenoir memory, this place was called Grace Mainland, where there was no science or technology. There were endless waging wars and warriors raging everywhere!

People with these various abilities would all become warriors, and their abilities were referred to as Martial Spirits.

But not all are blessed with it, ordinary people could train hard to become a warrior, but there was no way to obtain a Martial Spirit through training. Martial Spirits were so powerful that they could benefit a warrior's training, increasing their combat potential significantly and granting them their own special abilities...

The "Martial Spirit" can be inherited through blood, if compared Magus World it has a sticking similarity with bloodline of Warlocks.

Leylin stood up and studied these fragmented memories in order.

The original owner of this body came from the Lenoir Family. They possessed the Petrification Martial Spirit which could make the body as hard as a rock in battle, preventing damage to the body.

Unfortunately, Berkan didn't inherit the Petrification Martial Spirit.

He also showed no interest in martial arts, and never learned anything about them either. All he had been devoted to was the exploration of historical remains.

Thanks to that ancient map, he had crawled through numerous heavy bushes and suffered a lot to arrive at this ancient cave and eventually die here.

'No talent for Martial arts in a cultivation world..' Leylin couldn't help but let out a wry smile but obviously he wasn't too bothered, he had full confidence in his Magus path as well as his abilities to climb up to the top of this world.

'When I first started my Magus journey, I focused on knights path as well but unfortunately as I progressed through higher ranks, the advantage it could give me diminished not to mention the lack of research in that field hampered my future directions but maybe in this world of Martial arts I can completely walk on that path along with my Magi journey.' Leylin pondered and started to walk forward.

"Wu wu wu.... hu hu hu.... "

Leylin was contemplating his future as suddenly, a devil-like cry came from deep within the cave.

Frowning, Leylin looked around only to find a blood pool in the direction the voice came from.

The blood pool, about 10 square meters in size, was located in the middle of the cave, filled with a red fluid which looked just like blood.

Leylin stared at the blood pool with a calm gaze. The howls had a magical power to evoke the desire to kill within oneself, and made one want to kill anyone around them!

But it had no effect against Leylin. Although his ears were itching but the howls from the blood pool couldn't torment him.

"A.I.Chip scan the blood pool."

[Beep! Task Established! Begin Scan!] [Discovered unknown components. Powers similar to laws detected. Access to sentient force reservoirs unauthorized. Unable to analyse!]

'!?' Leylin had a rare surprised expression flashed across his face, he never imagined that he would encounter something similar to law energy so early in his journey.

'What shitty luck..' Leylin massaged his temples and slowly moved forward.

'Should I use the Primordial chaos law?' Leylin touched his chin and pondered.

When the main body separated its truesoul, he also coagulated a part of his Primordial Chaos law and stored it inside each truesoul. Due to the physical limitations of Leylin's current body it cannot use the majestic abilities of law power but fortunately the main body found a way to burn the law and utilize it's power at critical events during reincarnation spell.

Since Leylin has made such a big investment he would obviously store some defensive measure. Originally the purpose of major portion of Primordial Chaos law was to contend against the World Will but due to his strange transmigration, Leylin didn't need to use that power.

Now without any exhaustion Primordial chaos law is still completely reserved.

Although it's usage is limited to a set number of times but it's power is undeniable.

And more amazingly it can replenish itself, but for that either the truesoul clone has to touch upon the realm of laws or wait a very extended period of time for its revitalization.

'Should I use my law power to extinguish the influence of this law being? But if there is a consciousness link between the rouge law power and the source, it might alert the law being. Although I can use Primordial Chaos Law to hide my tracks but that would significantly increase the expenditure. I can't frugally use law power.. there is too much uncertainty.'

Welcome everyone to our story, the show is just getting started. Unfortunately due to huge time gap, I need to study a lot because I practically forgot a lot of things. But I'll be working and hoping my work would continue to entertain you all.

Thank you
